Memorial Hospital Miramar

Hospital Policies

As part of Memorial Healthcare System, Memorial Hospital Miramar takes security very seriously. Our comprehensive policies help to protect our patients, visitors and employees.

Gift Policies

Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to a patient, as the patient may be on a special diet. If a patient is in the Intensive Care Unit, please check with the unit staff before bringing any gifts, flowers or food.

Security Procedures

Memorial Hospital Miramar has dedicated security staff on guard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While visitors may contribute to the recovery and well-being of patients, only those approved by the patient and family will be allowed to visit.

For your safety, all visitors are issued temporary passes upon entering Memorial Hospital Miramar; photo identification is required to obtain one. Additionally, all employees wear a photo ID badge. Do not hesitate to ask to see an employee’s identification if it is not visible.

Smoking Policy

Memorial Hospital Miramar is a non-smoking facility. No smoking is permitted in any area of the hospital at any time. There are designated smoking areas outside the hospital.

Weapons and Drug Policies

No weapons or illegal drugs are allowed in the facility at any time. The Security Office for Memorial Hospital Miramar can be reached at (954) 538-4500.
