Amenities and Conveniences

Whether you're hungry for a snack, need to fill a prescription or require language translation, our health care facility provides convenient services to suit your needs.

Automatic Teller Machine (ATM)

An ATM is available 24 hours a day in the main hallway near the Memorial Essentials gift shop.

Call Lights

Patients can easily get in touch with their medical caregivers at any time. In addition to the call light feature at every bed, patients and their families are given a cell phone number to reach the nurse or medical caregiver directly.

Cashier's Office

Payments can be made toward medical bills Monday - Friday, 8:30am-7pm. Call (954) 538-5279 for more information.

Food

  • Cafeteria
    A full-service cafeteria is located on the first floor of Memorial Hospital Miramar and is open seven days a week.

    Monday through Friday
        Breakfast: 6:30 to 10am
        Lunch: 11:30am to 2pm
        Dinner: 4:30 to 7pm

    Saturday and Sunday
        Breakfast: 6:30 to 10am
        Lunch: 11:30am to 4pm

    Hot entrees, sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, salad bar, bread and rolls, cereal, yogurt, desserts and more are available. The menu and availability of items change each day. Refreshments are available in vending machines in the cafeteria dining area.
  • Wrapsody Café
    Located in the Medical Office Building, Wrapsody Café offers gourmet coffee drinks, beverages, soups, salads, wraps, sandwiches and assorted baked goods. It is open Monday–Friday, 7:30am-5pm.
  • Nutrition Services
    The Memorial Hospital Miramar Food and Nutrition Services staff provides patient meals that are delicious and nutritious. We allow patients to choose their own selections from a menu at meal times. The Food and Nutrition Services Department can be reached at (954) 538-4735.
  • Snacks
    Vending machines are located in the cafeteria and the waiting rooms of both the adult and children's Emergency Departments. Refreshments also can be purchased in the Memorial Essentials gift shop.

Gift Shops

Memorial Essentials gift shop is located in the main hallway of the hospital near the Information Desk. The shop features a large selection of merchandise, including floral arrangements, plants, balloons, candy and snack items, gift baskets, beautiful gift items and a full line of greeting cards.

The gift shop is staffed by friendly volunteers and is open 9am to 8pm, Monday through Friday; 10am to 7pm, Saturday; and 10 am to 6pm, Sunday. Seasonal merchandise also is available.

The gift shop accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa credit cards. As an added convenience, you may call in gift orders for patients. Call (954) 538-5290 for more information or to place a gift order by phone.

Language Services

Memorial Healthcare System serves a vibrant multicultural community in South Florida and works to provide patients with health care services in their own language. Memorial Healthcare System maintains a list of employees who speak foreign languages to support patients and families and/or uses over-the-phone interpreting services to assist with communication needs. Please ask your nurse or health care provider about arranging interpreting services.

Miramar Pharmacy

Conveniently located in the Medical Office Building, Miramar Pharmacy sells prescriptions, medical supplies, over-the-counter medications, candy, cards and more.

Store hours are 9am to 6pm, Monday through Friday; 10am to 2pm, Saturday; and closed Sundays. For more information, call (954) 538-4520.

Phones

Courtesy phones are located throughout the hospital for free local calls. Cell phones can affect patient care equipment, ventilators, IV pumps and telemetry monitors. For the safety and comfort of our patients, please limit your cell phone usage to the main lobby, the cafeteria, the visitors lounge, waiting rooms and outside the building.

Special Needs

Memorial Healthcare System provides American Sign Language interpreters for you and your family at no charge. Memorial also provides adaptive equipment during your hospital stay; such as, special call systems to call for assistance and special phones - TTY phones, voice-carry-over phones or large button phones. If you need special accommodations for your disability or an American Sign Language Interpreter, or a special call system or special phone please inform your nurse or contact the nurse manager of the unit or the nursing supervisor or the hospital.

Valet Parking

Free valet parking is available at the main entrance to Memorial Hospital Miramar, as well as the main entrance to the Medical Office Building.
